Hi, this car is kicking everyone s ass.. 92 lexus sc400. 128k. Super promote car that I am ready to drive off a cliff. had a idle surge difficulty that I researched online and did tests (per the manual) on tps, iac and maf and cleaned the TB. After a pain 2-3 different used IAC s, I took it to the master tech at lexus. He said it was the IAC valve. He tried my used ones.. and finally a rebuilt one. still had issues. encourage to the dealer.. this period he says, it needs a ECU. I did a lot of research on them, and found that its a common suffering next this car.. bought a used one.. more trouble. had the indigenous one rebuilt by a specialist.. and that s where I am at now.. Put it in tonight and the car idles at 2k rpm. Does the TPS craving to be re-adjusted? The master tech did every sorts of diagnostics on all partnered parts (tps, maf, iac). $100-200 all mature I take it do the dealer for diagnostics.. upon going problems are in fact addendum up. I m in two minds to adjoin the tps if he had it dialed. Any insight? Thanks in advance. Jason
I bought it in July, drove it house from LA (to Utah), and the problems started unexpectedly after I got it home.Any additional urge on you can come up with the money for is appreciated. I don’t know what else to pull off but recognize it put up to to the dealer. I know I’ve got the shop foreman energetic upon it at the dealer, but I still setting its pushed to the back up as its archaic and everyone loses in this situation.
bearing in mind I start the car, the engine surges stirring amongst 1200 and 2000 rpm back up and forth. I misused the IAC and the TPS in imitation of no regulate in symptoms. I have noticed that several Lexus SC’s have this same issue. Prior to this I would have to familiarize the idle swiftness screw to lower the rpm and it would sustain for a while. Now, the engine is each time surging to the narrowing where I cannot drive it for warning of damage to the drive train. Any experienced solution?
